Rage has many benefits when fighting Lilith's minions in the game's dungeons and zones. As Season of Blood approaches, keep checking back for the latest Diablo 4 Season 2 content. A host of new Diablo 4 vampire powers can be tested on new enemies.
What will the Berserker do?
Rage is a status effect available to Barbarians in Diablo 4 that gives them 25% additional damage and 30% increased movement speed. This happens regardless of the weapon used. This will only trigger under certain conditions, but it can make your barbarians a threat to Lilith and her wave of minions. This doesn't reduce damage taken and make you tank, but it's just a purely offensive buff.
The extra movement speed is great for moves that require you to move around enemies, such as Whirlwind. Those looking for a defensive playstyle can combine Rage with the Aggression Resistance passive to gain damage resistance. Berserker builds can also benefit from the Berserker Rend aspect. Whenever you deal damage while raging, Diablo 4 Guardians deals 22% of base damage as bleed damage for 5 seconds.
How does Diablo 4 get violent?
To become a raging barbarian in Diablo 4, you need to use specific skills to activate this effect. This can be seen in the Barbarian skill tree in the Diablo 4 game. Some skills may not initially anger the barbarian, but you can unlock this ability by leveling up. This is useful when building attack-oriented builds such as the Diablo 4 Whirlwind Barbarian build.
These are the skills you can use to rage in Diablo 4:
Combat Slam A critical hit from a Slam will cause a frenzy that lasts 1.5 seconds. This doesn't happen very often, but it's a good option to keep your rage going.
Violent Upheaval: When your Upheaval deals damage to 2 or more enemies, the Barbarian gains Berserk status for 2 seconds. This effect increases to 3 seconds when damaging 4 or more enemies. Perfect for crushing those pesky monsters that don't pose much of a threat.
Empowered Battlecry: The Battlecry grants Frenzy for 4 seconds. With a roar, a massacre began.
Fighting Zeal: Damaging an enemy with the Brawl skill grants you Fury for 1 second. In other words, you can maximize your berserk state by occasionally attacking with your brawl ability.
Warrior's Steel Grip: When the Steel Grip hits an enemy, it will enter a violent state that lasts for 2 seconds. Use this to extend the duration of the barbarian's rage.
Warrior's Critical Strike: If you damage an enemy with a critical strike, gain Fury for 3 seconds. A great way to put pressure on elite opponents.
Enraged Berserkers gain Fury and Unstoppability for 5 seconds using only this skill. For the next 10 seconds, dealing direct damage with basic skills will cause you to rage for 5 seconds. Upgrade to Supreme Berserker's Wrath to unlock additional conditions. The Berserker's damage bonus is increased by 25% for every 50 Rage spent. Rage is generated by normal attacks, so it's a win-win situation. Using this ultimate skill, you can maintain berserker status as a Barbarian for a considerable period of time.
Unbridled This important passive increases the maximum duration of the rage by 5 seconds and increases its damage bonus by 25%. This is an irresistible effect for fans of Berserker.
Above I introduced how to rage in Diablo 4. Using a Barbarian can do a lot of damage this way. Other professions (thief, necromancer, warlock, druid) do not have this ability.
Season 2, however, has some interesting vampire powers that come close to it. Moonrise is one of the most powerful vampire powers in Season of Blood. Hitting the enemy with basic skills will increase attack speed by 4%, lasting 10 seconds, and stacking up to 5 times. When superimposed to the maximum, the basic skill damage is increased to 160% and the movement speed is increased to 15% for 10 seconds. Combining that with rage is ridiculous.
Diablo 4's Vampire Pact Armor is required to use this power against Zealous Lords. Season 2 will be released this October on PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series X|S.
