Diablo 4: Lack of content triggers player complaints

It's been nearly a month since Diablo 4 was released, and players are eagerly awaiting the game's first season.

After an exciting campaign and players entering world tiers 3 and 4, many felt the late game was flawed, to the point of "boring" and "shit" in a recent Reddit post.
The post above is from a "longtime Diablo player" who enjoyed the first two games and played them with his 17- and 21-year-old sons. But not only for them but for many others, the endgame doesn't seem like enough to keep playing.
"I really enjoyed the activity and the process of getting ready for world level 4." However, my two sons stopped around level 70 and said it wasn't worth playing. The drops are rubbish, the few tunics they drop complain that they are worse than what they are currently equipped with (and 10 levels lower than that!). "
Reddit user Grimmbeaver called it a "frustrating, boring grind" and said the loot drops were "not attractive enough" to keep his sons playing.
“They loved Helltide, Legion events, world bosses, and nightmare dungeons, but ultimately found the drops were too powerful to keep them busy,” Grimbeever said. "It's really disappointing. My family spent close to $400 on this game and wish it was more engaging.
and Grimbeaver. Player retention is critical for live gaming. After the event, however, it seems many people have moved on, finding the final graphics to be neither interesting nor appealing.
"I and 5 real friends started early access, played for about 3 weeks, and now no one is playing.
A lot of people have similar thoughts about the endgame experience, mostly solving nightmare dungeons, but not much else.
"My team all quit. 'Not all, but some will come back for season one. But unless something big changes, the game is boring. From bad itemization to extreme arcade style.' Stupid Mobs are designed to "challenge" (whatever you can call them) that are boring > fun."
Thankfully, season one is underway. Blizzard will reveal more details about Diablo 4's first content season and battle pass during a Livestream on July 6, which will launch later this month.
